I have been trying out a new fibroid tea concoction. Trying to get back into a routine with drinking apple cider vinegar. Whether or not it shrinks fibroids, I’ll wear the idiot label for a little while and try to see if I reap any benefit from drinking it since drinking it won’t do me any harm. I’ve tried apple cider vinegar before and I’ve been admittedly inconsistent as far as the feedback I’ve provided as to whether or not it has done anything to help. I think because I have tried so many things, more often than not trying multiple things at the same time, I have no way of knowing what has really helped; but I do know that between 2012 and 2013 I was doing a lot better than I am doing now with the situation. My stomach was much more controlled. I have actually run out of apple cider vinegar so I haven’t had my fibroid tea yet today. I’ll be having it later on in the evening after I get a chance to pick up a bottle from the supermarket.

I am on my 3rd day avoiding solids after two days of eating solids. Before the 2 days of eating solids I did 4.5 days of no solids. I am trying to get into a habit of alternating with the goal to have at least 4 no solids days each week. Not sure yet of the best way to do it if to do two no solids days followed by one solids day then two no solids again followed by two solids days. I’ll see how it works out; but I think based on how difficult it is to manage my situation when I eat solids multiple days in a row that it needs to become a lifestyle where I am not eating solid food more than 3 times per week.

As far as my fibroid tea goes, I have only started drinking it two days ago. I’ve been trying to get back into drinking apple cider vinegar for a while but I haven’t gone any long stretches on it yet so I can’t comment on how it seems to be affecting my situation or not. I know the idea is to drink the apple cider vinegar straight with some baking soda but I can’t tolerate the taste of that; and back when I was drinking it everyday I was only managing to drink it because I was putting it in my tea; but then someone suggested that you defeat the purpose when you add it to hot liquid so I stopped; but now that I think about it, if the shrinking I experienced around that time had anything to do with the apple cider vinegar, then whatever happens when you add apple cider vinegar to hot liquid did not have impact on the effectiveness of it for me so I’ll just go ahead and put it in my tea. Maybe I’ll put the tea in the freezer on some days and make iced tea. This way when I add the apple cider vinegar I won’t be adding it to hot liquid. Hopefully I can go a stretch of 2 – 3 months drinking it and see if it makes any difference.

My name is Monica. I have fibroids. My fibroids are large enough that they have transformed my figure into something I am still trying to learn how to live with. In the meantime while I try to learn how to live with my fibroids I am also trying every possible method I can find to try to shrink them naturally because I am afraid of the idea of a hysterectomy. I lived with fibroids from 2007 - 2016. I started documenting my experiences on this blog in 2012. On March 7th 2016 I had a hysterectomy out of concern that I might have ovarian cancer. It did not turn out that I had ovarian cancer. The cancer scare forced the hysterectomy I was trying to avoid, and so, I became fibroid free as of March 7th 2016. I will try to keep this blog up and running in the hope that it will be of some use to others going through what I went through.
