Apparently cinnamon can help shrink fibroids indirectly. I frequently go through cinnamon phases where I have to have cinnamon. And I don’t mean I have to have cinnamon to sprinkle on what I eat. I just eat the cinnamon like that. I pour it into my palm and eat enough of it to burn my tongue sometimes. I don’t know in what ways, if any, my cinnamon consumption has helped me health-wise. I have not been consuming it for the purpose of getting any health benefit. Maybe it has helped or maybe it hasn’t. I don’t have any way to know; but I guess I’ll keep eating it just in case.
Cinnamon sprinkled Apple slices
I had this for a snack a short while ago. I’ve probably reached my allowance of cinnamon for today. Apparently you can overdose on cinnamon. Luckily my tongue warns me when it’s hadabout enough cinnamon for the day.
So how does cinnamon help shrink fibroids?
Here’s an excerpt from an article about cinnamon’s usefulness in helping to shrink fibroids. I know nothing about the author of the article and any qualifications that might make the article more or less valid as a resource.
Although cinnamon has dozens of health benefits, the main benefit that will help you to reduce your fibroids is through it’s strong effect on controlling blood sugar levels in your body.
In a study published in 2003 in the medical journal Fibroids Care, groups were split into people taking 1, 3, or 6 grams of cinnamon per day in capsule form (the equivalent of approx 1/4th to 1 teaspoon of cinnamon).
The results of the study showed that all 3 amounts of cinnamon reduced fasting blood glucose levels by 18-29% after 40 days.
Cinnamon can also increase insulin sensitivity, which essentially means that it is helping your body to control blood sugar while simultaneously allowing your body to produce less insulin.
As you know, chronically high insulin levels can make your body grow fibroids faster.(full article)
And it can make you beautiful too
Cinnamon apparently also mixes well with honey and nutmeg to make a great face scrub. I haven’t tried this out yet; but maybe the next time I have some honey in the house I’ll give it a try.
